End User License Agreement.

Effective 27 June 2026

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between Voicehaus, a company registered in Finland (business ID: FI31609011) (“Licensor”, “we”, “us”, “our”), and you, the individual or organisation installing or using Enlarger (“Licensee”, “you”).

By installing, activating, or using Enlarger you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software. If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

1. Definitions

Software
The Enlarger desktop application for macOS and Windows, including all updates and accompanying documentation provided by Licensor.
Major Version
A version of the Software designated by Licensor as a new major release (for example, Enlarger 2.0), typically introducing substantial new functionality and marketed as a distinct paid product from prior Major Versions.
License Key
A unique alphanumeric key (format: ENLRG-XXXX-XXXX) issued by Licensor that grants the right to activate the Software on a Device within the Major Version for which it was purchased.
Activation
The process by which a License Key is cryptographically bound to a specific Device via Licensor’s activation servers.
Device
A single physical computer identified by a hardware-derived machine identifier.
Trial Mode
A limited operational mode in which the Software may be used for a fixed number of image-processing operations without a License Key.
Full Mode
The operational mode unlocked by a valid activated License Key.
Seat Limit
The maximum number of simultaneous Device activations permitted under a given License Key, as specified at the time of purchase.

2. License Grant

2.1 Trial license

Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Software in Trial Mode, subject to the usage limits described in Section 5.

2.2 Paid license

Upon purchase of a License Key, Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software in Full Mode on up to the number of Devices equal to your Seat Limit.

2.3 Scope

All licences granted under this Agreement are for personal or internal business use only. They do not include any right to distribute, sublicense, resell, or make the Software available to third parties as a hosted or managed service.

3. License Restrictions

You must not:

  1. copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Software;
  2. reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Software, except only to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law;
  3. remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices (including copyright and trademark notices) contained in or on the Software;
  4. use the Software to provide time-sharing, hosting, service-bureau, or other computing services to third parties;
  5. circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security-related feature of the Software, including the Trial Mode usage counter, the licence activation system, or the cryptographic token verification mechanism. Such acts may also constitute an offence under applicable law, including the Finnish Act on the Protection of Computer Programmes (Laki tietokoneohjelmistojen suojaamisesta, 805/1992) and Directive 2009/24/EC;
  6. use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  7. transfer or assign a License Key to another party without Licensor’s prior written consent.

4. License Keys and Activation

4.1 Issuance

License Keys are issued upon purchase and delivered to the purchaser’s email address.

4.2 Device binding

Each Activation cryptographically binds a License Key to a specific Device. Activating a key on a Device consumes one activation slot.

4.3 Seat Limit

A License Key may be activated on a maximum number of Devices equal to its Seat Limit. If all slots are occupied, Activation on an additional Device will be refused until an existing Activation is released through deactivation.

4.4 Deactivation

You may deactivate the Software on a Device at any time through the application’s settings (“desktop-initiated deactivation”, no cooldown) or, for lost or inaccessible Devices, through Licensor’s dashboard at dashboard.enlarger.app (“emergency deactivation”, subject to a 90-day cooldown per License Key).

4.5 Re-activation

Re-activating the same License Key on the same Device after that Activation has been released does not consume an additional slot; a fresh token is re-issued.

4.6 Non-transferability

License Keys may not be resold, transferred, or gifted to third parties unless Licensor has expressly authorised such a transfer in writing. Multi-seat keys may be distributed within a single purchasing organisation.

4.7 Internet requirement for Activation

Activation requires a working internet connection. Once Activated, the Software operates fully offline; internet access is not required for continued use in Full Mode.

5. Trial Mode

5.1 Usage limit

Trial Mode permits a fixed number of image-processing operations. The current limit is displayed within the Software. The trial counter is maintained server-side and associated with your Device. Reinstalling the Software does not reset the counter.

5.2 Internet requirement

Trial Mode requires a working internet connection for each processing operation. If Licensor’s servers cannot be reached after three consecutive attempts, the operation is blocked and the image is not processed.

5.3 Conversion to Full Mode

You may convert from Trial Mode to Full Mode at any time by purchasing a License Key at enlarger.app.

6. Ownership and Intellectual Property

6.1 Software

The Software and all intellectual property rights in it remain the exclusive property of Licensor. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership interest to you.

6.2 Your content

You retain all ownership rights in the images you submit for processing. Licensor does not access, store, or transmit the images you process. No licence in your content is granted to Licensor.

6.3 Output

The upscaled or enhanced images produced by the Software (“Output”) are owned by you, subject to any intellectual property rights that may subsist in your original input images.

6.4 Open-source components

The Software includes open-source components subject to their own licences (including Apache 2.0 and MIT). A list of these components and their applicable licences is available within the Software under Settings → Acknowledgements.

7. Data Processing

To provide Trial Mode, the Software transmits a one-way (SHA‑256) hash of your Device’s machine identifier to Licensor’s servers to track trial usage. The raw machine identifier is never transmitted or stored. Activation additionally links a device name (chosen by you) and a Supabase user account (authenticated by email OTP) to your License Key.

Licensor processes personal data as a controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Finnish Data Protection Act (Tietosuojalaki, 1050/2018). For full details of what data is processed, the legal bases, your rights (including access, rectification, erasure, and portability), and how to exercise them, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Updates

8.1 Minor updates

Licensor may, at its discretion, provide updates, bug fixes, and feature improvements within the Major Version you purchased. Such updates are provided at no additional charge and are governed by this Agreement. Licensor is under no obligation to provide updates or to maintain any particular version of the Software.

8.2 Major version upgrades

Licensor may release a new Major Version of the Software as a separate paid product. A License Key entitles you to use the Software only within the Major Version for which it was purchased and does not grant any right to activate or use a subsequent Major Version. Licensor may, at its discretion, offer existing Licensees discounted upgrade pricing to a new Major Version; any such offer is made separately and is not part of this Agreement.

9. Term and Termination

9.1 Term

This Agreement is effective until terminated.

9.2 Termination by you

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Software and deleting all copies in your possession.

9.3 Termination by Licensor

Licensor may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect if you materially breach any provision and, where the breach is remediable, fail to remedy it within 14 days of receiving written notice.

9.4 Effect of termination

Upon termination, all licences granted under this Agreement cease. You must uninstall the Software and cease all use. Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. Licensor expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

EU and Finnish consumers: Mandatory statutory consumer rights — including rights under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki, 38/1978) and EU Directive 2019/771 on the sale of goods — are not affected by this disclaimer. If the Software has a defect, you may have rights under applicable law that cannot be excluded by contract.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Licensor’s total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Software shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you for the License Key giving rise to the claim.

In no event shall Licensor be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, even if Licensor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

EU and Finnish consumers: Nothing in this Agreement limits Licensor’s liability for death or personal injury caused by Licensor’s negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by mandatory applicable law.

12. Purchases, Refunds, and Right of Withdrawal

12.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase or use the Software. By purchasing a License Key or using the Software, you represent that you meet this requirement.

12.2 Pricing and taxes

Prices are displayed at enlarger.app and include or may be subject to applicable VAT or other taxes depending on your location.

12.3 Refund policy

Licensor will provide a refund for a License Key that has not been Activated on any Device, provided the refund request is submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date. To request a refund, contact us via the support form. All other sales are final.

12.4 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, pursuant to EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive).

By initiating the Activation of a License Key, you expressly request the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal in respect of that activated key. This waiver does not affect your right to a refund for non-activated keys under Section 12.3, nor any other statutory rights you may hold.

To exercise the right of withdrawal before any Activation, contact us via the support form with your order details within 14 days of purchase.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

13.1 Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

13.2 Consumer disputes

If you are a consumer, you may bring any dispute before the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi) or the competent courts of your place of residence within the European Union. You may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13.3 Business disputes

Disputes between Licensor and business customers shall be submitted exclusively to the District Court of Southwest Finland as the court of first instance.

14. General

14.1 Entire agreement

This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Software and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, warranties, or agreements.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

14.3 No waiver

Failure by Licensor to enforce any provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it on a future occasion.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement without Licensor’s prior written consent. Licensor may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets, provided that the successor is bound by its terms.

14.5 Language

This Agreement is made in English. If a translation is provided, the English version controls in the event of any conflict.

14.6 Contact
